How To Reach
Karla Caves are located near Lonavala in Maharashtra and are easily accessible from both Pune and Mumbai. From Pune, the caves are around 60 km away and can be reached by road via the Mumbai–Pune Expressway/Old Mumbai–Pune Highway. From Mumbai, they are approximately 110 km away and can be reached via the Mumbai–Pune Expressway towards Lonavala. The nearest railway station is Lonavala, about 10 km from the caves, from where taxis and local transport are available. From the base/parking area, visitors need to climb a series of steps to reach the cave complex.
