How To Reach
Lohgad Fort is easily accessible from Mumbai and Pune via road and rail. The nearest railway station is Malavli on the Mumbai–Pune suburban line; from here, the fort is about 5 km away and can be reached by auto-rickshaw or local taxi up to Bhaja village, followed by a short trek. By road, Lohgad lies close to NH-48 (Mumbai–Pune Highway); you can drive to Malavli/Bhaja and park near the base village. The final ascent is a well-marked and moderately easy trek, making Lohgad suitable for first-time trekkers as well as families.

Lohgad Fort is ideal for easy trekking, heritage exploration, and nature photography. Visitors can walk along the stone pathways, explore historic gates, bastions, and water tanks, and enjoy panoramic views of the Pavana backwaters and Vinchu Kata ridge.
