ASI - Pataleshwar CAVES e-Walk Audio Guide (पाताळेश्वर गुहा)
The Pataleshwar Caves are an 8th-century rock-cut Shiva temple carved from a single basalt rock in the heart of Pune. Built during the Rashtrakuta period, the cave features a pillared mandapa, a central Shiva linga, and a Nandi Mandap aligned on its main axis. Though unfinished, its Elephanta-inspired design and serene atmosphere make it a striking reminder of Pune’s ancient spiritual and architectural legacy.
